Tellibo turns a parent's recording of their child's story, and a photo of their child's drawing, into a short film. This page says what we collect, who handles it, and how to delete it.
Who this is for
Tellibo is for parents and legal guardians who are 18 or older, and we ask for your age before you can use it. Children do not use Tellibo or have accounts. Everything about a child is provided by you, the parent. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and a password (stored as a hash), or your Google profile name and email if you sign in with Google. We ask your age once, to make sure you are 18 or older. When you agree to how Tellibo works we record the time, the version of the wording, your age, and that you confirmed you are the parent or guardian. If someone gives an age under 18, we do not keep the age, only a note that the account is blocked, and they can delete the account.
- Your child's details, if you add them: a first name and an optional age.
- Your child's story: the audio recording you make or upload (or the text you type), the transcript, and the photo of the drawing.
- What we make from them: the story script, character pictures, scenes, narration, music and the finished film.
- Purchases: which pack you bought and when. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.
- Technical records: error reports and logs, and what each film cost us to make.
Voice recordings
A recording is used only to turn speech into text for the story. We never use it to create or clone anyone's voice. The finished film is narrated by a licensed narrator voice, not a synthesized version of your child.
Who handles your data
To make a film we send the relevant parts of your data to these companies, acting on our behalf:
- OpenAI: transcribes the recording.
- Anthropic: reads the drawing, helps write the story, and checks content for safety.
- fal.ai: generates pictures, video and music from the story and the drawing.
- ElevenLabs: produces the narration from the story text.
- Amazon Web Services: assembles the final video.
- Supabase: stores your account, files and records. Vercel: hosts the app.
- Stripe: takes payments. Resend: sends account emails such as your verification code.
- Sentry: collects error reports so we can fix problems.
- Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. We do not run analytics or session-recording tools.
Who can see it
Your recordings, drawings and films are stored in private storage under your account and are visible only to you. If you share a film's link, the person you send it to will still need access to your account to open it. Every generated script, picture and video is checked for safety before it reaches you.
How long we keep it
- Your recordings, drawings, transcripts and films are kept until you delete the film or your account.
- Clips and frames saved for reviewing a generation that failed our checks are deleted after 30 days.
- Text details of those failed generations are cleared after 90 days.
- Billing records may be kept as the law requires.
Deleting your data
You can delete a film, or your whole account, in Settings. Deleting your account removes your recordings, drawings, films and records from our systems. For anything else, write to us.
